Welcome to Travis Elementary
Welcome to a New Year at Travis Elementary!
It is truly an honor to serve as your Travis PTA President, and I want to personally welcome each of you to another wonderful school year. Whether your family has been part of Travis for years or you're just beginning your journey with us, we're excited to have you as part of our community.
The PTA exists to help create an exceptional experience for every student by supporting our teachers and staff, enriching our school, and building meaningful connections among families. Throughout the year, you'll see opportunities to volunteer, celebrate our students, support fundraising efforts, and participate in events that make Travis such a special place.
One of the things I love most about our school is that everyone has something valuable to contribute. Whether you have time to volunteer regularly, help with a single event, attend a meeting, or simply stay informed, your support matters. Together, those contributions create the welcoming, supportive environment that helps our students thrive.
If you're new to Travis, we hope you'll quickly feel at home. Don't hesitate to introduce yourself, ask questions, or get involved—we'd love to get to know you. And to our returning families, thank you for the continued generosity, encouragement, and school spirit that make our community so strong.
I encourage you to stay connected with the PTA throughout the year, share your ideas, and reach out whenever you need us. We are looking forward to partnering with you to make this school year memorable for every child.
Here's to a year of learning, friendship, growth, and making lasting memories. We can't wait to see all that our Travis Tigers accomplish together!
With Tiger Pride,
Cari Shoemate
Travis PTA President 2026-2027
Welcome to Travis Elementary School!
As principal of Travis, I’m proud to be part of our strong school community supported by the efforts of our Travis PTA.
At Travis Elementary, we value the whole child, and our Travis PTA helps the school provide engaging opportunities for both academic and social/emotional learning. For example, our Travis PTA provides for our acclaimed Travis gardens and gardening program, along with essential support for field trips and grade-level campouts.
I started my elementary teaching career twenty years ago at Travis Elementary, and it’s an honor for me now to be principal of Travis and involved with such a wonderful community of families, students, teachers, and staff.
Wishing you well,
David Church
