✓ School Supplies: Check back later this summer for more information on school supplies! Each teacher or grade level will have specific instructions on labeling school supplies. Kindergarten students will carry their supplies to school during the first week of class (a detailed schedule to be provided later this summer). Students in 1st through 5th grade will generally be asked to bring their supplies to Meet the Teacher - your teacher will give you details.

✓ No Uniforms: There are no uniforms at Travis! Students should wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and should wear closed-toe shoes.

✓ Teacher Assignments: Students new to Travis will receive their teach assignments via email prior to Meet the Teacher.

✓ Meet the Teacher & Watermelon Social: Thursday, August 6, 2026, 2pm-3:30pm. Meet your teachers, tour your classrooms, and then stop by the cafeteria where PTA will be welcoming families back to school with watermelon slices. We will have spirit store pre-orders available for pickup and booths from Fun Run Boosterthon, Girl Scouts, Kidventure, and the Travis Foundation.

✓ Kinder Playdate: Calling all incoming kindergarten families! Come to the Travis Spark Park (playground) rain or shine and meet your new classmates and peers on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 10:30am. PTA will be welcoming new and returning kinder families with donuts. Siblings are welcome. Bring a coffee or a water bottle - it will be warm! (Note: teachers will NOT be present)

✓ First Day of School: The school year begins on Monday, August 10, 2026! Doors are open from 7:15-7:35am. You will need to say goodbye to your Tiger at the door - parents are not allowed inside the building. But head over to the basketball court for the Boohoo / Yahoo Breakfast…

✓ Boohoo / Yahoo Breakfast: Parents are invited to join us Monday, August 10, 2026, at 7:30am for coffee and light bites on the basketball court. Whether you are crying tears of sadness or joy, join PTA as we say goodbye to summer and send our students back to school on the first day.

✓ August PTA General Membership Meeting: Parents and community members are invited to join us in the Cafeteria for our first PTA General Membership Meeting of the year to hear what all we have planned on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 7:30am. Coffee and light bites will be provided.

✓ Open House: Tour your Tiger’s classroom and enrichment classes on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 5:30-6:30pm. PTA will be on hand with light concessions.
