Calling all Travis Tigers! Come to school and meet your teachers in their classrooms on Friday, August 8th, TIME TBD. PTA will be welcoming families back to school with watermelon slices in the cafeteria. We will have spirit store pre-orders available for pickup as well as booths from Fun Run Boosterthon, Girl Scouts, Kidventure, and the Travis Foundation.

Travis parents & students: Tour your Tiger’s classroom and enrichment classes from 5:30-6:30pm on Tuesday, September 9th.

The Travis Fun Run is the culmination of 2 weeks of fundraising for our school. During the school day on Friday, September 19th, students will run laps and participate in athletic events with their grade level for 35 minutes. Pledges can be made as a flat donation or per minute to Boosterthon. Classes compete to raise the most money in their grade levels and within the school. Parents can cheer from the fences of the Spark Park - schedule forthcoming. Travis Elementary and Travis PTA use the proceeds to pay for field trips, garden instruction, and other school-wide initiatives. We hope you will join us in raising money for our wonderful school!

Thursday, October 2nd is National Custodian Appreciation Day! We have a crew of ladies who work hard to make our school sparkle and shine each day. Please join us in celebrating our team because we’d be a “mess” without them!

Travis Fall Carnival is PTA’s largest annual event and a Woodland Heights tradition. Join us on Saturday, October 25th, from 11am-3pm for a haunted house, dunk tank, games, prizes, and loads of fun! 5th grade parents and students will also be hosting the annual parade through our neighborhood. PTA sells wristbands and concession tickets to raise money that goes directly back into our classrooms as teacher supply reimbursements. We hope you will join us in raising money for our wonderful school!

Dress up as your favorite storybook character on Friday, October 31st. No handheld props please.

STEM Night is back! Join us on Wednesday, November 12th, from 6:00-7:30pm for a delightful evening of science, technology, engineering, and math. Do you have a career or special interest in a STEM field? Please reach out to our STEM chair to volunteer at a booth!
