SPOOKTACULAR ART CONTEST
Remember, students are invited to showcase their creativity by designing and submitting a Spooktacular masterpiece on a 12x12 canvas, and one lucky winner will have their design printed on a tote bag! To participate, students must purchase a canvas from PTA for $5! Canvas sales are online through this Friday, September 27 and will also be available on the playground after early dismissal that day. The deadline to turn in your canvas to the front office is October 1. Artwork will be displayed in the Travis hallways, and the winner will be chosen on October 7. All participants will receive a tote bag featuring the winning artwork, and additional tote bags will be sold at the Spirit Store during Carnival. NEW: LIVE ART MURAL
We are excited to announce that a renowned local artist will create a Spooktacular mural for this year’s Carnival! The mural will depict our beloved Travis Fall Festival, and will be painted DURING the event itself. We thank Caroline Schlemmer, Compass Realty, for her generosity in underwriting this very special commission. There will be prints of the mural available to purchase after Carnival.

The scary truth is, Carnival just wouldn’t happen without a horde of helpers. If you’re looking for a fun and easy way to get involved, here’s your chance! We also need volunteers before, during, and after the Carnival to make it a success for our school. Opportunities include pre-staging, set-up, break down, first aid trained persons, and more. Email email@example.com with questions.
WRISTBAND & BOO BUCKS PRE-SALE
Skip the lines on Carnival day and get your wristbands NOW! Travis Carnival wristbands are $25 and available through pre-order, which ends on October 18. They will be delivered to your child’s classroom during the week prior to Carnival. We will also be selling them on the playground after early dismissal this Friday, September 27. Each wristband allows the wearer to get the whole Carnival experience — Kids play at all booths as many times as they want! Order online HERE!
Please note: Trunk or Treat, food and drinks are NOT included with the wristbands. You’ll need Boo Bucks (tickets) for those items, which can be purchased online HERE, on the playground after early dismissal this Friday, September 27, or during Carnival.

The Travis Carnival is spooky fun for not only our Travis family, but for every child in our neighborhood. This year, we are offering our alumni at Hogg and other local schools a chance to purchase wristbands at our pre-order price of $25! Please spread the word to siblings, friends, and neighbors that we will offer the wristbands for sale online HERE. They will be available for pick up at our ticket sales booth the day of the event.
