If you have a traditional Hispanic or Latin American dish, drink or snack you would like to share with our Travis community, we need you at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24! Bring your dish (large or small) to PTA Hispanic Heritage Night in the Multipurpose Room. Tell us where the dish is from, why it is important to you or your family and feel free to bring the recipe to share!
During the PTA meeting, your children will enjoy bilingual canciónes y cuentos (songs and folktales) with Don Sanders in the library, after which we will join the parents back in the Multipurpose room where we will all enjoy Mexican Ballet Folclórico performed by the children of the Heights-based dance troupe, Grupo Zapata. We’ll top off the evening by enjoying the delicious food brought by our fabulous Travis families.
Additionally, students can celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by wearing traditional Hispanic/Latin American clothing to school Thursday, Sept. 24!
