You’ve seen the shirts, the tiger tails and ears. Now, you can be the one to help our Spirit Store succeed!
Each month, we need parent volunteers to open the Travis Spirit Store for PTA meetings and after school for up to one hour. (Our goal is two Fridays each month, but this can be flexible.) Fourth and fifth grade students may participate in working the store with parent supervision. Tiger Spirit Store sales are an important source of income for your PTA, and if we don’t have volunteers, the store will not open.
Just like last year, each grade level will be assigned a month that your grade will be responsible for covering. Fifth grade kicks off the competition next week and will set the bar high!
Grade level assignments are below.
5th Grade October
4th Grade November
3rd Grade December/January (evening PTA meeting in January)
2nd Grade February
1st Grade March (no PTA meeting — pick an alternate time to open)
Pre-K May (morning PTA meeting, pick an alternate time to open)
Sign up via the link on the PTA website, and scroll to Volunteer Opportunities. Instructions and support are provided for your shift. If you have difficulties accessing the site, contact me with your email, grade level and the date you would like to open the store and I can add it to Volunteer Spot. We would like to plan approximately two weeks in advance if possible, so the store opening can be announced in Tiger Beat.
Finally, THANK YOU to volunteers Cindy Clayton, Maren Haenicke, Jennifer Teague and Becky Garcia for staffing the Spirit Store last week at the PTA meeting and Friday after school. Remember that Spirit Store volunteers get 10 percent off any merchandise they buy during their shift. Thank you for supporting your PTA. Go Tigers!
