THANK YOU to all the grandparents who supported the Spirit Store on Grandparents Day Sept. 16! We had our most successful day EVER with sales topping $1,445! A huge thanks goes to all our volunteers: Kelly Olson, Allison Kirby, Kelly Hare, Laurie Wagner, Elizabeth Coffman, Laura Hipps and Becky Garcia.
Grade Level Competition Starts in October
Attention All Grade Levels: The Travis Spirit Store is having a grade level spirit competition starting in October!
Each month, we need parent volunteers to open the Spirit Store for PTA meetings and after school for up to one hour. (Our goal is two Fridays each month, but this can be flexible if necessary.) Fourth and fifth grade students may participate in working the store with parent supervision.
Like last year, each grade level will be assigned a month that your grade will be responsible for covering. If your grade meets or exceeds our goal of opening the store for the PTA meeting and just two additional days per month after school, you’ll get your choice of a T-shirt or tote bag to raffle for your grade. At the end of the year, the grade level with the most Tiger Spirit Store spirit will be announced in Tiger Beat…and another special surprise for the winning grade level is in the works!
Grade level assignments are below.
5th Grade October
4th Grade November
3rd Grade December/January (evening PTA meeting in January)
2nd Grade February
1st Grade March (no PTA meeting – pick an alternate time to open)
Pre-K May (morning PTA meeting – pick an alternate time to open)
Sign up via the link on the PTA website, and scroll to Volunteer Opportunities. Instructions and support are provided for your shift.
