Travis families, you did it! Our anonymous donor stepped forward, and, less than 48 hours later, the $5,000 challenge was complete! Because of your donations and the matching offered by our anonymous donor, Travis teachers now have an extra $10,000+ for their classrooms.
Did you know that on average teachers spend $400 to $600 of their own money on classroom supplies every year?
The Travis Fall Carnival raises money to reimburse our teachers for these out-of-pocket expenses. It's important to also note more than 60 percent of the Rainy Day donations were less than $100 and about 50 percent of those were less than $50. Even a small donation can make a big difference!
