The Ned Show
Today, we had a student assembly to see the The Ned Show, a character education program based on three simple skills: Never Give Up (focus and persistence); Encourage Others (kindness and shared learning); and Do Your Best (diligence and excellence). For more information, visit their website. A separate letter describing the show has been placed in Tuesday Folders, which includes information on ordering a yo-yo, a visual token of the lessons covered. Yo- yo purchases are not required and simply help the company fund the program, which is offered free to schools. The more important line of action is to ask your child about what he/she learned and reinforcing those themes in conversation and actions. Many thanks!
Make-Up Day Absences
If your child was absent from school on the first district make-up day on Friday, April 18, please make sure to submit an excuse note to the office. Children who were absent in observance of a Religious Holy Day will not be counted as absent, however, the school must have documentation in the form of an excuse note to make this official. An absence is considered unexcused if a written note is not submitted. Thank you!
