We are proud to recognize our 2013-2014 Travis Elementary Teachers of the Year: Ms. Kari French and Ms. Jennifer Yeggoni.

Ms. French is a Travis first grade teacher and Chicago native who received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from North Park University. She is completing her 28th year of teaching and fifth at Travis. She received her elementary teaching credentials at College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN and at one time taught Montessori Preschool in Honolulu.

Ms. Yeggoni is a Travis first and second grade bilingual teacher who was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala and grew up all over Texas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin and completed her teaching certification while working in the Austin ISD. Ms. Yeggoni has spent the last year-and-a-half at Travis and her nine years of teaching have included experiences educating elementary-age children in India and preschool children with developmental delays and disabilities in the Early Childhood Intervention program.
We are grateful to Ms. French and Ms. Yeggoni for their outstanding teaching and contributing their rich experience to the Travis community!
